Newspapers
for educational use are available to classrooms within
The Globe’s delivery area at a reduced rate
of 20 cents per copy. The Joplin Globe, through our
generous business sponsors, underwrites the remainder
of the cost of print editions.
The Globe’s e-Edition is available to schools
in our readership area at no cost to schools due to
the generosity of our business sponsors. The e-Edition,
because of its easy accessibility, widespread availability
and interactive method of delivery, is appealing to
today’s students, who love technology! Features
of the e-Edition are its audio option, translation
of stories into several languages, blogging, and access
to past issues. Check it out at our homepage joplinglobe.com.
Once newspapers arrive in the classroom, either paper
copies or e-Edition, the NIE program continues to
support teachers with free curriculum resources and
teaching materials in a wide range of subjects and
grade levels.
